Baseball in October!

95-67 ain’t too shabby a record. Three teams finished with this record today: LA Angles, NY Yankees, and my BoSox. Only two teams had better records: ChiSox (99-63) and St. Louis Cardinals (100-62). Since the Yankees and Red Sox are tied with the regular season record, the tie-breaker goes to the team that won the season series between these teams, and I hate to say it but the Yankees won 10 games to the Sox 9 games.

The ALDS shapes up this way: LAA has the home field advantage over the NYY, ChiSox have the home field advantage over the BoSox. Unfortunately Chicago has handled Boston this year. But the California…no…Anaheim…no…Los Angeles Angles of Anaheim have handled the Yankees this year. Unless the Boston starting pitchers step up I see Chicago winning in 5. I’ll also predict the Crenshaw Angles of The OC in 5 over the media favorite Yankees.

Fight the Power

The RIAA has been suing thousands of anonymous “John Doe”s for illegally swapping music files on P2P networks. Well, a lady from Tualatin is fighting back. It remains to be seen if her claims will stand up in court, but it’s good to see someone fighting back against “the man”.

You Annoy Me

This morning in church Gregg spoke on Colossians 3:12-17. Verse 12 says this:

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

In reference to “patience” Gregg had this to say, “I can’t be patient unless you do something annoying.” The context of that statement is that even in the body of Christ we are not always going to get along; we are not always going to be on the same page. But, when the time comes that I’m annoyed I need to have the patience.

It just made me laugh. I even wrote it down so I could remember it :-)
